ISEDA (BEGINNING) is an experimental short film exploring the Yoruba creation story through the eyes of Olokun. It’s a film that helps the audience experience and understand the Yoruba creation story through the eyes of the wronged deity as opposed to previously popularized versions of the tale that only celebrated Obatala, Orunmila and Olorun and cast an antagonistic light on the only female deity in the story; Olokun. This film celebrates African and Yoruba heritage and aims to spotlight women and females in our ancient stories that we aim to tell in today’s world.
