My artwork tells a story about unity among Nigeria’s diverse cultures.
The inspiration behind this design comes from the idea that Nigeria’s strength lies in its diversity.
It draws from the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria where different ethnic groups, traditions, and symbols coexist. Instead of showing them separately, the artwork brings them together in one central composition to emphasize unity over division.
At the center, the map of Nigeria is overlaid with the national flag colors, symbolizing one nation. The traditional staffs and royal items represent the major ethnic groups (like Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba), each with its own heritage, authority, and identity, putting them together shows that despite cultural differences, the nation stands stronger together. The drums and patterns around the edges highlight celebration, rhythm, and cultural richness.
The bold “NIGERIA” and the phrase “Unity in Diversity” reinforce the message:
